Enugu East: Nnamani cleared for Tuesday PDP Senatorial primaries

The People Democratic Party, PDP, Screening Panel has cleared former Governor of Enugu State, Senator Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani, to contest the senatorial primaries of party slated for Tuesday. 

Senator Nnamani confirmed this in a press statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Enugu Sunday. 

He expressed appreciation for the various political parties and numerous supporters who threw their weight behind his ambition, declaring that he remained a member of the PDP.

The statement:

I am honoured by the interest of all and varied political parties in my desire to serve in the Nigerian Senate.

However I remain a member of the PDP. 

I have also been duly cleared and will be contesting in the PDP senatorial primaries on Tuesday,  2nd October,  2018.

While thanking  all for your huge interest,  I solicit the support of party delegates, stakeholders and the good people of Enugu East Senatorial District during the senatorial primaries.
