Ikeoha Foundation Scholarship Awards hold today at Udi

The annual Ikeoha Foundation Adult Literacy Day and 2016/2017 Scholarship  and Bursary Award Ceremony kicks off this morning at 10 O’clock.

The Foundation which operates 36 Literacy Centres in Enugu West Senatorial Zone has provided basic education to over  12,000 Adult learners and funded the university education of over 2872 students with 50 undergraduates enjoying full scholarship among other empowerment ventures.

Founded in 1997 by Senator Ekweremmadu and his wife Dr Nwanneka Ekweremmadu, the Foundation has also extended it’s programmes to the area of healthcare, agriculture, women and youth empowerment for less privileged Nigerians.

Today’s event which is taking place at Udi Council Headquarters, Udi will be graced by Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and the Deputy Senate President, Dr Ike Ekweremmadu and will feature recitations, spelling bee, march past, awards and cultural dances.
