President General of Nimo Town Development Union, (NTDU) in Njioka Local Government Area of Anambra State, Chief Frank Anthony Igboka has been assassinated.

Igboka, a former member of Anambra State House of Assembly, was shot dead Tuesday night inside his private vehicle by four gunmen who must have been on his trail.

The Anambra Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Haruna Mohammed who signed the statement said he was rushed to Beke Hospital Nimo where he was confirmed dead.

Police preliminary investigation reveals that the deceased was shot at close range by his assailants who reportedly escaped in a pickup towards Abacha. Eziowelle Road.
