The National leadership of  Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has commended the Governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for rescinding the  order banning the operations and activities of the association in the state

The National President of IPMAN, Elder Chinedu Okoronkwo and the Secretary Alhaji Danladi, in a press statement, expressed the association's appreciation of what they described as the magnanimous action and consideration of the Governor in lifting the ban on IPMAN activities in Enugu State.

The lifting of the order  followed the acceptance  of a Memorandum  of Understanding presented to the State Government  by the National Leadership of the association.

In the Memorandum signed by the National President, Elder Chinedu Okoronkwo and the National Secretary,  Alhaji Danladi, IPMAN accepted to organise and operate its activities in the state in an oderly manner that will not endanger the peace,  security of lives of the people of the state .

It also agreed to function and operate in line with the rules and laws guiding the activities of recognised organisations like IPMAN in the State and the country.

Following this development, it was learnt, IPMAN is now free to operate and deliver her services in the Oil industry to all residents of Enugu state who may need their services.

It will be recalled that the State Government had in June issued an order banning the activities of IPMAN in the State following  escalation of power tussle between some members of the association,  which threatened the peace and security position in some parts of the country.
