Nsukka LGA Chairman, Patrick Omeje, is dead

The Executive Chairman of Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State, Hon. Patrick Omeje jnr, is dead.

Details of his demise were scanty by press time but sources said he died in the early hours of Tuesday. 

According to a source, "Omeje reportedly took ill last week when he complained of malaria attack only for us to hear this morning that he has died. It is a sad development."

Checks at the Omeje family house at Nsukka indicated that the premises was under lock and key. 

A staff of Nsukka Local Government said the report had been received at the secretariat but it was yet to be confirmed officially.
