The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Geoffrey Onyeama has tested positive for Covid-19.

The minister, who hails from Enugu State, personally confirmed his COVID-19 status saying he was heading for isolation in a health facility.

In a post on Sunday via his verified Twitter handle, the minister said his fourth Covid-19 test returned positive on Saturday.

He wrote:  “(I) did my fourth Covid-19 test yesterday at the first sign of throat irritation and unfortunately this time it came back positive. That is life! (You) win some, lose some. (I’m) heading for isolation in a health facility and praying for the best.”
