TRAGEDY: 22 students perish as school bus runs into a truck in Kano

Tragedy struck on Tuesday morning, in Kano, when a bus carrying secondary school students crashed into of a lorry, killing no less than 22 of them, according to the men of the Kano State command of the Nigerian Police.

The incident involving the students, who were said to be going on an excursion at a radio station, was said to have occurred in Gaya Local Government area of Kano State, command of the adding that their operatives were at the scene to “calm the situation.”

The bus said to be travelling from Misau Local Government of Bauchi State, was said to have run into a truck at about 11:00am, as both were trying to avoid a pothole at Samia Uku village, close to Maitama Sule College by Dudduru.
