A makeup artist, Ijeoma Neke, who was reportedly kidnapped on Wednesday, last week, has been found dead in Enugu.

It was learnt that the late artist was booked for a makeup session with a yet-to-be identified client on the day she went missing

One of her friends who gave an insight into the incident said that a customer had called Ijeoma for a job on Wednesday, but when she asked for the address of the venue for the session, the customer allegedly asked her to come to ESBS bus-stop so she would be taken to the place.

It was gathered that Miss Neke could not be reached after some hours, fueling speculations that she might have been kidnapped.

Consequently, her friends and relatives formed themselves into a search party and went in search of the lady.

Their efforts, however, remained futile, until her corpse was found at Maryland in Enugu on Monday.

Eyewitnesses said that her corpse appeared to have been bathed in a substance suspected to be acid, leading to its mutilation.

Police Public Relations Officer in Enugu, Mr Daniel Ndukwe, however, told reporters in Enugu that his office was yet to receive reports of neither the kidnap nor the discovery of the makeup artist’s corpse as at the time of this report.

Some residents who reacted to the murder of Ijeoma, however, called on security agencies in the state to do everything possible to apprehend the culprits to forestall future occurrence.
