Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has sacked lecturers in Kaduna State-owned Universities that joined strike action..

El-Rufai gave the order in a press statement by his special assistant on media, Muyiwa Adekeye, on Tuesday.

He said, “Any academic staff of KASU that does not report for work will be dismissed. The authorities of KASU are to submit a copy of the attendance register for all categories of staff daily to the Secretary to the State Governemnt and the Commissioner of Education."

The governor also ordered immediate dismissal of nurses under grade level 14 that joined the strike in the state.
