FOLLOWING the confirmation by the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, has approved five new appointments.
The new appointees are Anthony Okechukwu Ojukwu from Imo State, Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, Ondo, Chika Ama Nwauwa, Imo State, Nwogu N. Nwogu, Abia State,
and Professor James Momoh, Edo State.
Ojukwu was appointed the executive secretary, National Human Rights Commission, for initial term of five years, Aiyedatiwa, non-executive director, Niger Delta Development Commission, initial term of four years, Nwauwa, non-executive director, Niger Delta Development Commission for initial term of four years; Nwogu, non-executive director, Niger Delta Development Commission for initial term of four years while Momoh is the chairman, Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, for initial term of five years.
A statement signed by Olusegun A. Adekunle, permanent secretary, General Services Office, on behalf of the secretary to the government, said that the appointments take immediate effect.
