NTA Staff murdered in Kogi

A Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) staff identified as Chukwu Odiahu has been killed in Okene, Kogi State by unknown assailants. 

Late Odiahu’s lifeless body was found with stones purportedly used to kill him by the yet-to-be-identified assailants suggesting he may have been attacked in evening of the previous day after he closed from work.

Late Odiahu works at the engineering department of the NTA booster station in Okene.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, Kogi state command, DSP William Aya, said information got to the command that an unidentified corpse was discovered along Okene-Magongo road at about 6.30 am on Monday.

He said that when the Okene command visited the scene, it was discovered that the dead man was a staff of Nigeria Television Authority booster station in Okene.

He further stated that when the body was examined it was discovered that there was blood stain in the body and bruises all over the body. He added that the corpse was identified as one Chukwu, a staff of NTA Okene.

Aya said the corpse has been deposited at a mortuary in Okengwe hospital while investigation is on to arrest those behind the crime.
